JO Qualifiers

JO Qualifiers are on the 6th at MN Sword Club. This is an optional meet and you must be a member of the USFA to participate. If you decide to attend the meet and can fence both cadet and juniors, I would suggest you fence both. At this point Bob and I are not planning on attending this meet. If you are planning on fencing this meet and would like us to coach you there, please let us know by Wednesday, December 2nd.

Team Banquet Date

The date for the team banquet has been changed to 3-2-10 due to a conflict with the Dining Hall. More details will come in February.

Electric Days

After Winter Break, each weapon will fence electrically one day per week.
Monday - Sabre
Tuesday - Foil
Friday - Epee

Most meets occur on Wednesday and Thursday, that is why I did not choose those days, we can use those days as make-up days as needed.

Please remember any unexcused absence and you will not letter, we already have a handful of people who aren't lettering due to absences and we've only had practice for a week. If you have decided not to fence this year, please email us so we can remove you from our roster.

Jan. 13^th Holy Family Meet – 4:00 Dining Hall

Jan. 15th No Practice - Set Up for SPA Invitational in the evening - Mandatory

Jan. 16th SPA Invitational – You will be there all day

Jan. 21^st - Roseville High School Meet at Roseville 4:30 – we’ll provide a bus to RSVL. Team dinner after the meet provided by the Dougherty’s .

Jan 22^nd High School Students Leave for Midwest High School Championship is Culver, Indiana

Jan 23rd Fence at Midwest

Jan. 24^th No Practice – recover from Midwest

Jan. 27^th TCFC meet 4:00 Bigelow. Foil only, everyone else should support the foil team until 5.

FEBRUARY 2010

Feb. 4^th Blake @ Blake 5:00. The bus will leave SPA at 4:15 and return around 6:30.

T- Shirt Contest

Once again we would like to have the SPA Invitational T-shirt designed by one of you.
The t-shirt will be either white, grey or navy with one color of ink imprint on the front.
The design should have SPA, SPA Invitational, January 16th, 2010 and have something to do with the SPA Spartan and Fencing.
The design should be done digitally and emailed to me.
It is due by December 10th.

You will win a free t-shirt.
